Aviation Lawyers

Are you wondering if you might be part of an aviation lawsuit? Are you looking for aviation lawyers or an aviation attorney? This website will help you know what areas Aviation attorneys handle and how they can help you. You will also find information on where to find an aviation attorney.

Aviation attorneys deal with all facets of aviation law; aviation accident law, FAA license violation defense, aviation business disputes, product liability, death and serious injury lawsuits and litigation, maritime, transportation and military disasters and aviation lawsuit.

Aviation accidents can take many forms, from major air disasters to small general aviation accidents. Regardless of the type of accident, you’ll want to select the most competent aviation accident attorney who will work with you closely and meet or exceed your expectations.

During times of heightened emotion, you may not be in the best frame of mind to make decisions about pursuing your legal rights. There have been situations where unscrupulous attorneys took advantage of vulnerable victims still dealing with the grief process, by contacting them and attempting to sign them up shortly after the accident. In addition, some attorneys want to immediately file a lawsuit, but this may be a strategy for their own benefit, and not yours.

Be wary of unsolicited contacts and attorneys who want you to quickly sign them up.

There is no need to rush to hire an attorney. When you feel that enough time has passed after the accident, and you are emotionally ready, then begin the process. Once started, take your time and select a good aviation attorney. However, don’t wait too long, because all claims are subject to a “statute of limitations,” which is the time period within which you must file suit or your claims will be barred.

Who should you hire?

A class action is a civil lawsuit where one or more selected representatives, called "class representatives," sue on behalf of a class of people. The judge will first have to decide whether the claims of the class representatives arise from facts or law common to the class members. This is called "commonality" in legal terms. Most class actions are called "plaintiff class actions," because in a lawsuit the parties doing the suing are called "plaintiffs." But in limited circumstances, a class action can be filed against one or more defendants representing a group of defendants, and would be called a "defendant class action."

Class action suits can help people who have been harmed by another party, such as a product manufacturer or developer, a lending or other financial institution or an insurance company. An individual may have been injured or suffered some other damage, but one person’s damage alone may not be great enough to justify the expenses of a lawsuit. The wrongdoer in such circumstances may get away with the wrong because of the cost of bringing a lawsuit. But if enough people have also been injured, then the combined damages may be enough to justify bringing a lawsuit to hold the wrongdoer responsible for the harm caused.
